Hi Vis Clothing
Clamup offers a wide range of HiVis protection products, which are one of the most important aspects of personal protective equipment (PPE) to provide better protection for the workers.
Products
In nearly any industry where workers face the risk of low visibility, especially in high-traffic areas or hazardous environments, wearing proper high-visibility (HiVis) clothing is essential for safety.
For instance, in 2010/11, the construction sector had 173.2 major injuries per 100,000 workers, substantially higher than the all-industry average of 99 per 100,000 workers. This elevated risk highlights the critical need for effective safety measures, including the use of HiVis clothing, to enhance worker visibility and reduce accidents on construction sites
Our Products:
The main purpose of high-visibility (HiVis) clothing is to ensure individuals stand out, making them easily seen from all angles in low-light conditions or hazardous environments. This helps maintain safety and prevents accidents by enhancing visibility.
Upon the garment is stitched a reflective material which causes light to reflect from the wearer back to the light source, therefore allowing the wearer to be noticed in low light conditions which gives more time to react thus increasing safety within the workplace. The amount of reflective material on the garments will place it into one of the three class categories.
EN ISO 20471 is the standard that defines the minimum amount of reflective material a garment should have before it is deemed safe for the wearer’s needs. Increasing visibility during the day, in the twilight and the dark. EN20471 classifies hi-vis garments into 3 categories, these classifications are 1, 2 or 3 where Class 1 provides the minimal level of visibility and class 3 provides the highest level.
CLASS 1:
It offers the lowest level of visibility and is suitable for low-risk situations where collisions and accidents are at a minimum. Typically, users will only have one item of hi-vis clothing on such as hi-vis trousers.
CLASS 2:
It provides enhanced visibility and is recommended for high-traffic areas such as Class A and B roadways. Similar to Class 1, HiVis waistcoats can be worn alone while still meeting Class 2 standards, as they are positioned at a more visible height.
Class 3:
High-visibility (HiVis) clothing provides the highest level of visibility, which is essential for high-risk environments such as motorways, airports, or nighttime work in low-light conditions. Class 3 garments, including typical HiVis jackets and coveralls, offer maximum protection.Class 3 visibility can also be achieved by wearing two HiVis garments together provided they are jointly certified.
For example, combining a Class 2 HiVis waistcoat with Class 1 HiVis trousers can meet Class 3 standards, as the total coverage of fluorescent and reflective material increases, ensuring compliance with Class 3 requirements.
